We leave out the usual nasties (like parabens, phthalates, sulfates, artificial dyes, mineral oil), and also skip ingredients flagged for pregnancy or nursing like retinol, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, strong chemical sunscreens (like oxybenzone), and certain essential oils.

We do use very mild, safe fragrances in some products — not to make you smell like a flower field, but to gently mask the strong natural odours of raw ingredients. Because pregnant noses are super sensitive, we keep it subtle and non-irritating. All fragrance we use is IFRA-certified safe for pregnancy and nursing.
